Meet the Founder

Joanna Broughton

Hello Lovely Lady,

Here's a little bit about me...

I love to help other women unveil their inner geniuses...

Because I love seeing the transition that people go through when I work alongside them and it would be a crime for me to keep this stuff to myself.

I’ve worked with loads of people over the past 8 years and I’m so proud to be a part of so many amazing journeys.

What I’ve noticed on my quest to help people to realise their true potential is that what most people struggle with is lack of confidence and limiting self-assumptions.  Too many people follow the norm or the paths that others have strongly suggested FOR THEM.

Naturally, someone who isn’t you knows what’ll make you happy right?

Of course, I’ve had my own ups and downs when it comes to living life happily and authentically.

A very dodgy and sometimes violent relationship left me a shadow of my former self and it took me a long time to pick myself up and become ME again.

At one point, I was a single mum living in a refuge, with no money, no job and no possessions, except for a couple of bags of clothes for my one month old son and me.

Dark times indeed!

I got stacks of help from my family, who were bloody amazing and I can never thank them enough, or express how grateful I am for all of their help and support when I was at  total rock bottom!

Thanks guys – I love you! <3

Anyway, I digress…

So, after a bit of wallowing around in self-pity for a while, I decided to have a mid-life crisis at 30 which led to me training to be a teacher in Performing Arts.

Anyway, I started with all the personal empowerment shenanigans through my Master’s degree. I thought it was all much-ado-about-nothing at first, if I’m honest, until I had to coach somebody for an assignment and it was an experience I’ll never forget.

It was like magic!

It was an epiphany for me.

This stuff will change lives and I need to do this.

So, I did the formal COACHING training and then started training other people to coach each other, including the big cheeses at my workplace.

I've also created two different coaching programmes, one of which I use to train professionals/teams to use in their leadership antics.

AND here I am now, sharing my stuff with women entrepreneurs like myself, all over the freeking world!

I love being able to do what I want (within reason) and I am free to be creative and go crazy with it and that's what I want to help other women to do too.

People have been saying to me for yonks that they wish they had my confidence and ability to stand up and speak.

There are times when even I have to fight off the fear demon and take action that gives me the willies!

For example, in 2018, I did my first stand-up comedy gig and I was terrified, but I loved it..

So, never think that if you are afraid, it makes you weak. It absolutely does not.

If you take the action is spite of fear, it makes you a total legend.

I've also had my peaks and troughs as an entrepreneur. We have good days and bad, don't we?

What inspired me to create the Global Success Syndicate was that I wanted to be a part of something where I could be myself, have fun and learn insider business stuff from real people.

(Not online gurus who promise to make you a millionaire in 17 seconds flat and then just bombard you with emails for the rest of your life).

Although I love a spot of networking (I hated it at first) I didn't find any groups that quite fit the bill.

Yes, I would meet lots of fabulous people.

Yes, I got to spread the word about my business.

Yes, I got some nice plates of breakfast/lunch/dinner (and yes, it did damage my waistline)

I never found a community where I could just be totally authentic and talk about/learn what I needed.

Then I thought,

"If that kind of thing would make my life easier and my business journey less fraught, then other women must feel the same!"

And, to cut a long story short, the Global Success Syndicate was born.

I am totally on a mission to help as many women to break out of their mental and emotional chains as humanly possible.

So, let’s get started - TOGETHER!

Lots and lots of love,

Joanna X
